The Really, Really Good News
About September 11th We all have that vision in our head. We all saw it come down and we all felt it. We watched in horror as the symbol of our nations financial strength came tumbling down. We saw it. And we felt it. Not one of us was left untouched…no one…not a single soul in the whole wide world. And then the questions set in. Why did this happen? Why did so many have to die? What did we do wrong? How can we prevent it? And perhaps most importantly, who do we blame? The papers covered it as a horrid tragedy, as indeed it did appear to be. Day after day, month after month, year after year, we have continued to perceive this day as an event that must be mourned…a day that spawned a world war against an unknown and undefined enemy. A day for which more lives must be sacrificed to make everything “right again.” Okay. So that’s the obvious. But we’ve all heard the old saying “Nothing is as it seems.” In the case of the Collapse of the World Trade Center, that just may very well be the case. You see, I don’t believe in accidents. And I don’t believe in victims. And I don’t believe in death. I do, however, believe that God works in mysterious ways. And I do believe that God talks to us through symbols. And I do believe that everything in the universe is inherently perfect and inherently just. If we can just stand back and look the event (any event) from an impersonal perspective, all that we need to know will always be revealed. And so I asked. What is the message? What is the lesson? Why did this happen? And then the pieces started to come together. And I got it…I really, really got it. It is not an accident that the building that came down was the WORLD TRADE CENTER, the single most commanding symbol of materialism and financial strength in the world (notice that is is NOT the AMERICAN Trade Center. It was the Center of WORLD trade. This was a GLOBAL event, not an American one.) And it is no accident that it came down almost immediately after ushering in the new millennium, which also happens to be the end of the Age of Pisces and the beginning of the Age of Aquarius. Now I’m not an astrologer, but I know enough to know that the Age of Pisces is the age of materialism. And I know enough to know that the Age of Aquarius is the age of Spirituality. So from that perspective, the “tragedy” at the World Trade Center was a global gift. It took an event of that magnitude to propel the shift from the Age of Materialism to the Age of Spirituality…I believe, that in the moment the towers came down (TWO towers mind you), WE ALL FELT the change. In a single moment, we went from being materialistic and self-involved to being compassionate and caring and unconditionally loving. We were no longer afraid to tell our families and friends that we loved them. We talked to our neighbors and to strangers on the street. We called people on the phone that we hadn’t talked to in years. People around the world came together and joined us in grief and a renewed appreciation for all of life. From that moment on, we looked at life from a very different perspective and all of a sudden our “stuff” seemed so much less important. We began a life that was now more aware of what really mattered to us and in that moment we grew closer to God. We did it as individuals, we did it as a nation, and we did it as members of the world community. Its important to realize that this event was not an accident and no one was to blame and no one was “killed.” This was an event that was planned on a universal scale for a VERY long time. The people who “died” had contracted for this experience before they were even born. They agreed to “die” to usher in the new age and therefore help make a shift on this planet that will affect millions and millions of lives for thousands of years to come. From this perspective, Osama Bin Laden and his cohorts are not “bad guys” but merely pawns in an event that was necessary to usher in the kind of global changes that are now taking place. Perhaps we can even offer them gratitude and compassion and in this way really begin the worldwide healing process. With a simple shift of perspective and understanding, it becomes apparent this event is a gift of unimaginable proportions and that war is definitely not the answer. Have you noticed it? Look around you. People are changing. Really changing. We now see “psychics” on TV and people talk casually about spirituality and “alternative” thoughts and beliefs in a way that was not thinkable even 3 years ago. Religions are falling by the wayside as more and more people pursue a personal connection with the divine in a world where God is all loving and all forgiving, where everything is automatically perfect, including us. Sure the stock market went down and people stopped buying as much stuff, which appears to have “hurt the economy.” These are both after affects of the shift. Materialism no longer has the same power that it used to. In fact a world where money buys power is quickly and automatically coming to an end. A new world order is in place…a world where the people with true spiritual power will effortlessly prevail over the people who still believe in the value of force. Strange as it may seem, world peace is manifesting as we speak. Yeah, there are still some who lag behind. Our country and many, many others were built on the idea that God is punitive and therefore WE must be punitive. Many still believe that the world is an unsafe place and that “evil doers” must be punished.” But take heed. This is a temporary condition and they too will eventually choose to make the shift or leave the planet. The time is at hand. And none of us will be left unattended.
